Hello and welcome to my store! I’m Maaike, the designer behind Pixel Giraffe Design. I'm married, work in healthcare, and live in the Netherlands. When I’m not chasing my kids or bribing my dog for some peace and quiet (or the other way around), you’ll find me happily creating.
I’ve been doodling, painting, and experimenting with all things artsy for as long as I can remember. Around 2010 I decided to digitize some of my art journals and memory books to tidy up (and make space for more art supplies!) and eventually started to work digitally from scratch. At the time I didn't know about stores that sold digital assets, so I created everything I used in my books myself. In 2016, I started designing professionaly. You still find quite some hand-drawn items in my designs, as well as a lot of watercolor splashes since I love that medium.
When I’m not knee-deep in paint splatters or sketching away, I’m dreaming about my next travel adventure or writing down the million ideas swirling in my head. Creating and connecting with fellow art lovers means the world to me, so thank you for being here and making my designs part of your story!
