Winter Solstice refers to the shortest and darkest day of the year. I decided to give it something positive: The return of the light, together with hope. Besides the greys and slate blues I added a bright red and some fun doodles to the collection.
…and these bright colored birds!
Winter Solstice [bird accents] contains 3 artsy accents: 1 with a blue jay, 1 robin, and 1 cardinal. Most were created from scratch with photos of the animals, with detailed watercolor birds as a result. These will work well as a center piece of an artsy layout, but can also be used as an element to add a small artsy touch. All accents come with 2 alternates: just the bird with some watercolor splatters, 1 with some more splatters and/or scribbles, and 1 with multimedia bits, like textures, text, stitch or hand-drawn items.
