My grandmother wore lavender scent. This is my first memory of this delicate perfume and I've never forgotten it. I've always loved lavender and I love tucking a sachet with dried lavender flowers in my lingerie drawer. In more recent years I've discovered the beauty of essential oils, and again lavender is one of my favourites.
I've travelled in Provence but never at a time when the lavender is in flower, so when I visited Tasmania's lavender farms a few years ago, it was a sheer delight to be there at a time when I could experience first hand the fields in bloom and breathe in the natural scent.
