Living in the tropics and never having experienced a winter with snow, it is hard to really imagine a day where the world seems 'frozen'. I have been in places where it was lightly snowing, but I've never been in a snow storm. I've never experienced sleet. I've seen a frozen lake but never been ice skating. I've never seen a snow covered ski slope. I have been rugged up against biting cold winds but never had frost bite. I can't ever remember being in sub-zero temperatures!! Now that's not to say that I wouldn't like to experience some of these things, but I don't know that I'd like to live somewhere where you have to dig yourself out of the snow, so I guess I'll have to have a snowy winter 'in my dreams'.
